Upcoming Changes to ASIC Application Process

Published on June 1, 2023

Starting on 1 July 2023, new changes to the Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) application process for all Brisbane Airport employees will be in effect.

Under this new process, all ASIC applicants will continue to apply for an ASIC online. Brisbane Airport Corporation employees will continue to very their identity as part of the application process through the ID & Access Centre at Skygate, and all other ASIC applicants will continue to verify through a participating Australia Post outlet or authorised Veritas agent (visit auspost.com.au to find the nearest participating outlet).

Collecting ASICs

ASIC applicants will no longer have to go to the ID & Access Centre to pick up their ASIC. Instead, ASICs will now be mailed to applicants to an address of their choosing (confirmed during the application process), with instructions on how to activate their card. This will save time for ASIC applicants, as they no longer need to book appointments to pick up their cards or come into the ID & Access Centre.
