2026 Master Plan – Preliminary Draft now open for public comment
We’ve reached a major milestone in shaping the future of BNE, with the release of the Brisbane Airport 2026 Preliminary Draft Master Plan for public comment.
The next decade is set to be the most transformational in BNE’s history, with more than $5 billion in sustainable infrastructure investment planned to deliver improved services, new facilities, and an exceptional airport experience.
The 2026 Master Plan outlines our five-year strategy to manage forecasted growth and explores development opportunities over a 20-year horizon. It represents over two years of detailed planning and collaboration across teams, underpinned by ongoing stakeholder and community engagement.
We’ve now entered the public consultation phase. As part of our legislative obligations under the Airports Act 1996, the Preliminary Draft Master Plan will be on public display for 60 business days from Monday 4 August 2025.
A comprehensive engagement program is underway, including:
- Attending community events across Brisbane
- Information booths at Brisbane Airport terminals
- Broad communication across digital platforms, stakeholder networks, and community channels.
This is a key opportunity for our partners, stakeholders and the broader community to help shape the future of BNE.
