Overall Snapshot for July 2024
Domestic
In July 2024, Brisbane Airport saw an average of 50,280 domestic passengers per day, a 4.8% increase from June 2024 and a 6.4% increase from July 2023. The overall domestic load factor was 80.9%, nearly identical to last year. Notably, five days exceeded 55,000 passengers, with the highest on July 8th at 56,934 passengers. Passenger restoration reached 96% of pre-COVID levels, with significant growth from Virgin Australia and Jetstar. The top markets for growth included Melbourne, Sydney, and Mackay.
International
Internationally, the airport averaged 16,832 passengers per day in July 2024, up 3.7% from June and 20.1% from July 2023. The international load factor was 80.3%, slightly below last year but above pre-COVID levels. The busiest day was July 13th with 19,381 passengers. Jetstar saw a 151% increase in passengers due to new routes, and significant growth was also noted from China Southern and China Eastern Airlines. The top international markets for growth were Tokyo, Guangzhou, and Auckland.
