24-27 June - DTB – Aerobridge Replacement Project -Aircraft Stand Geotechnical Investigations

As part of the Aerobridge Replacement Project investigation works, geotechnical investigations will need to be undertaken. Investigations will involve parking a test rig at the head of stand and driving a probe into the soil through a previously cored hole in the apron slab. Tests will be carried out at the following stands at the Domestic Terminal Building (DTB): 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 25, 38, 39, 41, 43 and 46. The work will take approximately two and a half hours on each aircraft stand. The area taken up during the investigation is shown in Impacted Areas.

30 June - July 5 - Airside Electrification - Stage 1 - DTB Electrical Shutdowns

As part of the GSE Electrification Project across Brisbane Airport Terminal Precinct, BAC will undertake a series of electrical shutdowns at the DTB over a period of 6 days between 30 June – 5 July 2024. These works are necessary for the installation of breakers and new distribution boards for the electric GSE charging bays. For further information please refer to the below Stakeholder Notice.
