Overall Snapshot for May 2024 vs May 2019 for BNE Airport

98% Overall Passenger restoration (combined Domestic and International)

100% Domestic Passenger restoration for May 2024 against pre-COVID levels (May 2019)
• This was equal to the capacity restoration of 100%
• resulting in a similar load factor of 77.0% compared to 76.5% pre-COVID (+0.5pts). 

93% International Passenger restoration for May 2024 against pre-COVID levels (May 2019)
• Which was equal with the pre-COVID capacity restoration of 93%
• resulting in a load factor of 73.7% compared to a similar 73.4% pre-COVID (+0.3pts).
• Note that after temporarily being above pre-COVID levels for two months (Feb-March), 
International passenger numbers dropped back below pre-COVID levels for April and May, and are expected to remain in the 90-95% restoration until November.

June - August- DTB AHU Replacement

This project involves the replacement of two Air Handling Units (AHU) in two mechanical plantrooms in the Domestic Terminal Building (DTB).  The project will ensure reliable and energy-efficient production of air-conditioned air to the respective areas served.For further information please refer to the below Stakeholder Notice.

24 - 26 June - DTB SUP - Carousel 4 Baggage Reclaim Closure

As part of the DTB Security Upgrade project, preparatory works will be undertaken shortly before the Common User Terminal mezzanine installation commences. These works involve the removal of reclaim carousel 4 in the centre of the terminal and the movement of all airline arrivals baggage to alternate carousels.For further information please refer to the below Stakeholder Notice.
