Passenger Update - March 2024

Published on April 16, 2024

Brisbane Airport has almost fully recovered its overall passenger numbers to pre-COVID levels.
This is shown by the return of 99% of combined international and domestic passengers.

For domestic flights, 98% of passengers have returned, which is more than the available flight capacity of 96%.
This means flights are fuller now (78.3% load factor) than they were before COVID (77.4% load factor).
For international flights, the recovery is even better with 103% of passengers back, exceeding the available flight capacity of 94%.
The flights are significantly fuller now (75.1% load factor) compared to before COVID (68.6% load factor).
However, this was influenced by the Easter holiday falling in late March.
