Compulsory Tenant Fire EMT Training Sessions 22-23 February

Published on January 23, 2024

Please find below a stakeholder notice containing information for compulsory fire training for both terminals.

These compulsory sessions are targeted for attendance by tenant management/WHS or training teams and attendance lists will be provided to Brisbane Airport Corporation following completion to ensure each tenancy has been represented.

An emphasis has been placed on the Fire Safety responsibilities of tenancies across Brisbane Airport’s Terminals as a result of recent incidents, multiple new tenants, and a large number of new staff within the terminals. Brisbane Airport Corporation, terminal operations and commercial property teams have engaged the BAC fire safety advisors (FSA), Fire EMT to conduct terminal emergency planning and instruction sessions in February 2024 which will be held at each terminal.

The sessions are considered a compulsory attendance from each tenant and is to ensure everyone is aware of their expected roles within the emergency response plan for each terminal including areas of responsibility regarding staff emergency instruction and response during emergencies. It will allow tenants the chance to liaise with the BAC FSA on such matters.
